Classes

Florida Rep's Education Department offers theatre classes in the fall, winter and spring that are open to community members of all ages. These classes allow Florida Rep professionals to share their wealth of experience with those who are eager to learn more about theatre. Areas of study include, but are not limited to: improvisation, theatre games, movement, acting for youth, acting for adults and stage makeup. Specialized classes are also offered for home school families as well as parent organizations and playgroups.

Fairy Tale Fantasy

Ages 4 –7

Children can learn to bring their favorite characters to life! Students in this weekly workshop will transform from kids to princesses, knights in shining armour and hideous monsters using their own creativity, voice and movement.

Creative Concoction

Ages 8 –11

Is your child a character already? Then why not focus those skills in this class for children of all levels of experience? Students will learn the basics of character development, including character analysis, vocal work and creative decision-making.

Intro to Classical Theatre

Ages 14 & Up

Don't be scared of Shakespeare! It can be easy and fun when you learn the basics! In this class, students of all levels of experience will get to expand their knowledge of Shakespeare and other classic playwrights and bring their words to life in performance. After all, All the World's Stage!
