Florida Repertory Theatre, located in historic downtown Fort Myers Florida, seeks a qualified Technical Director. Florida Rep operates under a LOA with Reference to LORT (AEA) contract, and produces 8 mainstage productions plus three educational theatre tours yearly. Florida Rep operates in a fully renovated 393-seat proscenium house with a $2.0 million operating budget. The Production Staff works out of an 8,000 square foot fully equipped shop and office space. The successful applicant will be energetic, enthusiastic, and an intelligent team player. The Technical Director is responsible for the building, load-in and load-out of all sets for productions. The successful candidate will have a BA in Theater (MFA preferred), and three years professional experience. The Technical Director must have excellent carpentry, drafting, supervisory and problem solving skills. In addition, welding and rigging skills are very desirable.
