Florida Rep's popular Lunchbox Theatre Series is breaking new ground in 2009 with the help of Pamela Templeton & Fort Myers Toyota "The Family Store," and on January 10, 2009 the series premieres at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. Boxed lunches provided by Jason's Deli.

In an unprecedented partnership, Florida Rep, Pamela Templeton & Toyota and the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center will bring live theatre to children and families every Saturday morning from January 10th to April 11. The only alternative to morning cartoons with Live Theatre in a new and inviting setting for kids and parents!

Again the Children's Theatre Series features three fun and exciting titles for children and families, Schoolhouse Rock LIVE, Cinderella: Confidential and ZAP!.

The first musical ever produced as part of the Children's Theatre Series, Schoolhouse Rock LIVE is based on the popular 1970s television series, and shows us what happens when three goofy characters come through Tom's TV screen. They're there to teach him how make learning fun with songs like I'm Just a Bill, Interplanet Janet and Conjunction Junction.

The series also features two scripts by award-winning playwright, Eric Coble. New to Florida Rep this season is Cinderella: Confidential, a hilarious play that tells the TRUE story of Grimm's fairy tale, and audiences join two reporters, Sonny and Deb, as they try to get the scoop on the mysterious One-Shoed-Woman. And audineces should be delighted to know that Zap and his friends are back for more. Comissioned by Florida Rep and presented in partnership with Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC), Eric Coble's ZAP! tells the story of Joanna Wilcox as she is visited by three Electrifying spirits in a quest to Get Smart, Get Safe and Get Saving!
